Sooo I just got back from watching New Moon, and I have to say, it wasn't as rubbish as I was expecting, but that was probably a combination of hardly any Edward and LOTS of Jacob and the wolves.

You all should know by now how much I hate Twilight because of the fans, and how if I mention that I'm a big fan of vampires, everyone immediately asks who my favourite Cullen is. THEY ARENT REAL VAMPIRES! Just like the wolves arent real werewolves (SMeyer manages to fix that faux pas in like the last chapter of breaking dawn by saying 'oh, by the way, we arent actually werewolves we're shapeshifters, who knew!' *research FAIL*)

I dont get how Vampires manage to be the only 'mythincal creature' that comes with so much artistic liscence. I mean, werewolves are the same, zombies are the same, ghosts are the same, sure they vary a little between stories/legends etc. but they all have the same sort of aesthetics.

WHY have Vampires become teenage beauties who SPARKLE IN THE FUCKING SUNLIGHT????
What about Bram Stokers Dracula and Nosferatu and all that? Creepy, ugly, old people with fangs who sleep in a coffin and turn into bats and have an intolerance to garlic and the sight of a crucifix.

And as for all these 'new age' vampires that have blood substitutes, WTF? Vampire folk lore states that they drink one type of blood only (if they drink blood that is, not all of them do)mostly human, but some supposedly feed off of cows. Case in point, they dont have a choice! Vampires are depicted as NOT NICE PEOPLE. They Do Not have morals or integrity. They are undead corpses who feed off of human blood, the stuff of nightmares, not a pre-teen fantasy.

Anyway, they movie was average, New Moon was my favourite book in the series (back before it all got too insanely popular) so I wanted to see how it was shown. It was funny, I'll give it that, plus they had a new director, so it was bound to be better than twilight.
The graphics were average, but I guess thats what you get when you have ten months to make a movie.

If the film wasnt so focused on the wolves, I wouldnt have seen it, end of. The wolves are the only redeeming quality of the Twilight 'saga' which isnt a Saga cause Saga's take place over a number of years, more years than twilight...

Whatever, if you like it, go watch it, if you dont, dont waste your time.
