I did this sketch in class today and slapped some colour on it. I was going to add shading, but my tablet was not co-operating >.>
Axolotls are one of my all time favourite animals, they have the most adoreable faces of any reptile/fish/aquatic creature ever.
Ive wanted one as a pet since I was about 4, however, they are on the critically endangered list because they are found in only two lakes in central Mexico, one of which has been artificially drained. They are also considered a delicacy and were a staple food for the Aztecs
